Psalm 34:19 - " A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.

We often wish we could escape troubles - the pain of grief, loss, sorrow, and failure or even the small daily frustrations that constantly wear us down.  God promises to be "close to the brokenhearted" and to be our source of power, courage, and wisdom, helping us through our problem.  Sometimes he chooses to deliver us from those problems.  When trouble strikes, don't feel frustrated with God.  Instead, admit that you need God's help and thank him for being by your side.

Ephesians 6:10 "Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."

Sometimes it's difficult to be strong when we are going through trials in our lives.  God often uses these trails to strengthen our spirits, prepare us for something that he has planned for us to do.  We have to put our trust in him.

Jeremiah 17: 7-8 

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

In times of trouble, those who trust in human beings will be impoverished and spiritually weak, so they will have no strength to draw on. But those of you who trust in the Lord will have abundant strength, not only for your own needs, but even for the needs of others.  Are you satisfied with being unfruitful or do you, like a well-watered tree, have strength for times of crisis and even some to share as you bear fruit for the Lord?
